Influence - Science and Practice, Robert B. Cialdini (04/02 Review)
This is perhaps one of the best books delving into all the aspects
about we influence and are influenced. It appears that no one is
immune from from social and cultural expectations. Be wary the "freebie".
It's a very effective way to get you to commit to or purchase something.
This book is exceptionally well researched. Cialdini's book covers
various "rules" dealing with reciprocation, commitment
and consistency, social proofs, the effect of liking someone, authority,
scarcity and finally a chapter on what he calls primitive consent.
Good reading. Requires some concentration to retain this fact and
example filled book.
